About SKMC-RTC 2026
Learning Objectives
At the end of this educational program, participants will be able to:
- Apply advanced mechanical ventilation strategies, including adaptive and closed-loop modes, high-frequency ventilation, and ultra-lung-protective ventilation in complex critical care settings.
- Evaluate and implement evidence-based ECMO practices, including cannulation strategies, circuit management, mobilization, and post-ECMO recovery.
- Integrate AI-driven technologies and automated oxygenation systems into respiratory care while maintaining patient safety and clinical effectiveness.
- Optimize patient–ventilator synchrony and implement early liberation and fast-track extubation protocols.
- Utilize advanced bedside diagnostic and monitoring tools, including lung ultrasound, neuro-monitoring, and modern pulmonary function testing.
- Apply evidence-based approaches to ARDS management, acute brain injury ventilation, congenital diaphragmatic hernia stabilization, and neuro-respiratory disorders.
- Incorporate pulmonary and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation principles, including structured patient education and chronic disease management strategies.
- Strengthen RT leadership through implementation of RT-led protocols, research methodology, interdisciplinary collaboration, and quality improvement initiatives in advanced life support environments.
